He has three cats named Lilith, Mushka and Rumble (one of which is missing a leg).
Dani is 5'5" (1.65m) tall.
Upon forming Cradle of Filth, he changed his name from Daniel to Dani by deed poll, since "Daniel" is Hebrew for "God is Judge".
His favorite bands are Judas Priest, Emperor, Destruction, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Misfits and Paradise Lost.
He is renowned for his vocal range. He has the ability to sing very "clean and clearly" but chooses a "dirty screaming" style because it fits better with the sound of Cradle of Filth.
In 2000 he appeared in the movie Cradle of Fear as The Man, a deranged psychopath hellbent on taking revenge on his father's persecutors.
In 2003, he supplied the voice of a character called Dominator in an animated movie of the same name.
He appeared on the Roadrunner United CD in 2005, providing vocals on "Dawn of a Golden Age" in which he depicted Aleister Crowleys book entitled "The Golden Dawn", the phrase 'Soon Childe' is mentioned in both the book and the song.
He appeared during the final season of Bam Margera's MTV series Viva La Bam, in an episode involving a stolen Hummer and a Cradle of Filth concert in Pennsylvania. The episode featured a portion of Cradle of Filth performing the song "Nemesis" from the album Nymphetamine. Additionally, the song "Her Ghost in the Fog" from the album Midian was used in the background in the episode "Scavenger Hunt", when Bam dropped a piano on Don Vito's "Polizia" car.
Among his influences are Venom, Iron Maiden, The Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Judas Priest, Emperor, Destruction, Slayer, The Misfits, Paradise Lost and Cathedral.
One of his favourite films is The Nightmare Before Christmas.
He once had a skeleton embedded in the floor of his kitchen.
